Technology is fantastic! It has and is still evidently transforming lives,institutions and our means of communication at home and abroad.The engaged course of Computer tools for nursing is captivating as it provides the opportunity to increase knowledge relating to the study of nursing Informatics and technological application The consistency of the facilitator, provision of reading materials, individual research,assignments, forum participation and discussions have extremely heightened interest,particularly towards the impact of computer technology in nursing. I have learnt that understanding individual learning style and commitment is required for successful completion of the course and all undertakings. Computer and information science to nursing( nursing informatics) is significant,since technology has greatly influence health reform over the years.The knowledge acquired from the course has enabled potential participation in decisions related to technological acquisation at my work place and it's contribution to the completion of tasks. Despite highly technological environments,nursing care of the patient can be maintained through developing competencies related to the use of the equipments and maintenance of the'caring' aspect to care. knowledge of hard ware and soft ware is important for data storage, retrieval, dissemination, data presentation, and analysis. It also enables creativity through the use of presentation soft ware,spread sheets, news letters and blogs. Research is an important aspect of this course and it was engaging to learn about turnitin reports and that the evaluation criteria must always be applied when selecting credible sources or sites. There by, providing valid reports. Technological knowledge is a requirement. Likewise, is the study of computer tools in Nursing and Informatics. So let us embrace it!
